This is a two week jury trial calendar beginning on Monday, April 24, 2023.  All cases are on a two hour call and do not need to appear unless called by the Court.  THE CASES WILL NOT BE CALLED IN THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY ARE PUBLISHED.  Parties and counsel must be ready for trial when reached, and continuance will only be granted for legal cause. MEDIATION MUST be completed before Thursday, April 13, 2023. All counsel must jointly certify that the mediation requirement has been satisfied. Failure by the parties to complete mediation within the required time-frame, unless excused or extended in writing by this Court prior to the mediation deadline, shall result in sanctions imposed against the non-complying party, including dismissal of the Complaint or striking of the Answer.  Any costs of mediation shall be borne equally by both parties, unless otherwise ordered by the Court. Counsel and all parties, or their representatives, are to appear and participate in good faith in this mediation. Attendance by an attorney or other representative who has full authority to settle all issues in the action is REQUIRED. If the client has not given such authorization to counsel, the client must also appear. Counsel and pro se parties must make a JOINT WRITTEN REPORT of the following information to RITU BAHRI, Staff Attorney, via email at [email protected]oncountyga.gov no later than Thursday, April 13, 2023.  The report must be resubmitted even if previously submitted as to a prior calendar. 1. Expected length of trial;  2. Phone and email addresses for all counsel and pro se parties;   3. Possibilities for settlement;  4. Whether and which portions of trial are requested to be transcribed;  5. Joint certification by counsel for all parties that mediation has been completed as set forth above.  The following must be efiled with a copy emailed to [email protected] no later than Thursday, April 13, 2023:  1. Consolidated Pre-Trial Order Plaintiff shall be responsible for consolidating the Pre-Trial Order.  No party shall submit their own portion of the Pre-Trial Order to the Court without written certification detailing their good faith efforts to present the Court with a consolidated Order; 2. Motions in Limine and any other pre-trial matters; 3. Requests to Charge. Parties are limited to 15 requests to charge excluding any Pattern requests, absent good cause shown.  4. Responses to the motions in limine must be submitted to the Court no later than, April 18, 2023. Failure to file responses to motions in limine will be deemed agreement therewith. Deadlines set forth in case management orders supercede any conflicting deadlines set forth in this notice. FAILURE TO TIMELY SUBMIT A WRITTEN REPORT AND/OR FAILURE TO SUBMIT A CONSOLIDATED PRE-TRIAL ORDER SHALL RESULT IN THE DISMISSAL OF THE COMPLAINT OR THE STRIKING OF THE ANSWER WITH THE ENTRY OF JUDGMENT BY DEFAULT. If neither party has filed a jury demand in your case, the case will proceed with a Bench Trial and the parties will not be required to submit a Consolidated Pre-Trial Order.  TRIAL INSTRUCTIONS All exhibits must be marked and shown to opposing counsel BEFORE trial.  All parties must prepare a list of exhibits to present to the Court at the start of trial which must set forth a brief description of each.
